Please accept this bouquet and my feelings!
I wouldn’t be able to hold my feelings in, if I fall in love
My ideal confession situation.... For the setting, there would a girl who I usually hang out with as friends and have fights with a lot. But one day, I realize my love for her. Just as she thought we would wave good bye to each other, I would confess “I saw you as a girl rather than a friend. I guess, I just like you” to her (laughs). I’d probably bet she’ll be like “you’re lying~” so I’ll tell her “just think about it” and go home that day then, ask her the reply few days after. Of course I’ll be happy if I get a good reply but I won’t regret anything if it’s a no. Actually, I don’t think I would be able to hold my feelings in if I fall in love with someone so after all, I have to go for it. Even though I’m not ready for such a relationship. Right now, the happiest moment of my life is talking about stupid things with the members. I was really happy that audiences at the all the concert venues was able to get heated up. One of the story happened would be that there’s a giant trolley we have to ride and act in, half way through the concert. So, when I was waving to the fans and singing at the same time, everyone else started cheering for me by dancing with me. I was moved by such a sense of harmony and once again felt the warmth of everyone. Really, thank you very much everyone.
Also, we will be releasing our first album in the summer! I’m really happy that what we’ve been doing all this time will be released this way. The list of song to be on there hasn’t been deiced but the recording company told us “let’s put as many songs as the CD can hold”. It’s turning out to full of worth listening songs I hope the people who can’t usually come to our concerts enjoy listening to this album.

【Arioka Daiki】
Hey, you dyed your hair brown! A month ago you said “I’m not going to dye my hair” or “stop me if I start looking like a player ok?” and not even asking me, what do you have to say to that!! … is what I want to say to him (laughs). But since it suits him, let’s just leave it as that. Please enjoy your 18th year ♪He might feel like an adult after graduating high school but he’s still a very immature person. First, he over reacts to every little thing! It’s “ooh, what’s this!? Awesome!!” about everything. Then, when I say “you’re overreacting” he gets excited and repeats the same thing so it’s annoying. But, it’s really great that Dai chan doesn’t have that two-faced personality. What fans sees at the concert is the same him. He’s big-hearted, easy to be with, and we have similar tastes so maybe we’ll be close forever. Ah, that reminds me, Dai chan won’t be at school when I go back in April. That makes me little sad.

I didn’t think you’ll compliment me like “it looks good” so I was at loss for god sakes (laughs). Also, you said “big-hearted” but if you ask Inoo chan he’d never say that about me. I get mad at Inoo chan and say things straightforward to him (laughs).

In a word, he’s “a gentlemen” for sure. When I try to fix my shoe lace, he would automatically hold my bag. He’s really nice. It’s just that he doesn’t quite get the situation sometimes. Keito likes to mess around with people’s hair and he always has things to say about the member’s hairstyles. Even when there’s no time and we’re in a hurry, he says “this hairstyle is more…” so I get “gosh! (pissed)” sometimes (laughs). Another thing that bothers me is that Keito’s standard for a cool person is his height! Every time he says things like “that person’s pretty tall, he’s cool” Dai chan and I gets mad and says “then what does that mean for us!?” then, he tries to be nice saying “no… Yama chan is cool too…?” but that smirk on his face. I think there’s something wrong with that! (laughs)

Even though Ryutaro and I joined at the same time, I sometimes had to back dance for him in the old days. I remember I was felt really irritated. I thought to myself “I’m going to sing in front of him someday!” in my mind. I bet he doesn’t know about that. Leaving that aside, Ryutaro has been snobby lately. Maybe because we joined at the same time, he seems to come at me pretty seriously. But I know he’s a great guy deep down from the start. I don’t know why but you can’t stay mad for anything Ryutaro says. Perhaps he’s actually cute? (laughs) He sometime says things like “Yama chan, you don’t have to stop” when I mess around with him roughly. Maybe he wants me to play with him? Thinking about it that way, he is cute (laughs).

I remember Yama chan dancing in the back for me. Before forming HSJ, I was irritated Yama chan got to release “Hey!Say!” as HS7. I didn’t want to lose so I would practice dancing at home at night, cutting my sleeping time. I can be active with you, being in the same group but I don’t think I’m up to Yama chan’s level yet. But I’m going to work hard to surpass you someday. I want to be the best at something out of the members, even if it’s just one little thing.

“JUMP member version 3rd edition” will feature Inoo & Nakajima& Chinen, these three. There are talks about those funny dear old days! This month’s cosplay is Japanese archer! Raise your hands if you were struck your heart by Yama chan!
【Inoo Kei】
No offence but he might just be the most confusing out of the members (laughs). But I know Inoo kun is actually a really really funny person. His one little remark is so odd, it’s hilarious. That reminds me, even the other day Inoo kun said “abalones (awabi) doesn’t taste good” and everyone else launched back at him saying “Eh, abalones are good” he said “ah… not abalones, it’s turbo shell (sazae) that’s not good”. He mixed up abalones and turbo shells. He has those moments quite a lot (laughs). It’s like he doesn’t have his foot on the ground… like he’s always floating. But there are no bad people if you’re a dog lover so Inoo kun must be a good person too!

He might be your average honor student. Ever since he got hooked on drumming, I see him beating rhythm anytime anywhere with his hands and feet. I understand he’s working hard but… I think you should stop that on the train? (laughs). Ah, that reminds me, my first oversea travel was with Yuto kun. We went to Hawaii for a magazine shoot. There, we took bath together but I got dizzy from the heat and collapsed in the bath room. Then, I saw my deceased grandpa in front of me. He reached out his hands so I said “thanks grandpa…” but that was actually Yuto kun reaching out his hands and helping me up. I guess I hit my head pretty bad to see my deceased grandpa..!? Yuto kun, do you remember that?

There’s no doubt Yamada loves me. Everything he says has a "♥" after it. Like “Yabu kun, what are you eating ♥"or “what are you doing ♥" But sorry, I have no interest in men. ….Just kidding! I love you Yamada (laughs)

He’s really independent but not like Dai chan’s, his independency isn’t annoying (laughs). For Yama chan, he would silently eat his lunch alone or sleep on his own. I can let off that because it doesn’t get other people involved. Compare him to Dai chan, he comes in late on meet ups and forget what others just said… oh wait it’s not about Dai chan (laughs).

Sucks at lying. I don’t know whether he wants to see my reaction but he sometimes tells me “____ sings the theme song” about an artist. When that’s a lie, his nostrils flares and smirks when he’s talking so I can tell his lying right away. He actually has a naive side and asks me “do you think I gained weight?” a lot but you don’t have to worry about that!

Yamada has a cute face but he says harsh things sometimes. He says “you’re such a kid” or “you’re so stupid” to me. But he would never say anything that would hurt others so maybe he knows when to stop. Ah, that reminds me what Keito said the other day. Apparently, Yamada’s sweat smells like roses? (laughs).

Lately, when our eyes meet during concerts he tries to make me laugh by putting a funny face. You try to make it like I started it first during the MC but Yama chan did it first! If you think my serious dancing face looks like a funny face then, that’s a really rude comment.

Even if we’re the same age, I was the one first to join the agency you know. You used to follow me around saying “Yuto kun, Yuto kun” but not as much now. Yama chan, you’re cheating on me aren’t you. With Dai chan and Keito (laughs).

Yama chan isn’t a person who talks to everyone at school. It’s not like he’s not easy to be around or awkward person. He’s not that enthusiastic. But that Yama chan sometimes throws in stupid tasteless jokes and the people who accidently heard it laugh with their nose because they don’t know what to do… Yama chan shines when he’s with JUMP but I can’t stand to see him being the unfunny guy at school (laughs).

It’s embarrassing to say this to his face but I sometimes think “where would I have been without Yama chan?” that’s how much Yama chan has helped me. He points out “Keito should do this more that way” or “that one was great” and other things so I can honestly feel that I’m improving a little. I really appreciate that.

Stop kicking the soccer ball prop at me during break time! Also, stop trying to trip me when I’m walking! What he does is really immature. You’re in 2nd year of high school now, please act more mature? (laughs) But I think it’s amazing that you can tell when I’m hiding something and you would try to figure it out. I thought everyone would say more criticism about me but there’s none of those. What’s wrong everyone? And What’s wrong Keito!? Saying sweet things like “without Yama chan…” will make me go mad for god sakes!! (laughs) To Ryutaro, the only person to say something bad about me, it sounds too cute. (Staffs tells him “Ah, but Ryutaro said “you haven’t grown an inch, are you all right?” at the end quietly) Hey! That’s the most hurtful realistic criticism (laughs).
November Duet 2010 - Yamadas Yamada Ryosuke
A well-known fall event must be Halloween! That’s why this month’s cosplay is a “witch” ♪If this witch came to your door to “trick or treat” we would definitely give lots of strawberries and sweets right? ♥
【1】 The number of stuffed animal I have in my room. I caught one from crane machine about 2 month ago. It’s a bear this tiny (holds hands 12 ~ 13cm apart). (Hikaru sitting beside him adds “You only have one stuffed animal? I have two, a monkey and a bear. The monkey was a gift from my niece. I bought the bear at a theme park I went for Shumatsu YY JUMPing and it’s wearing the 3D glasses from V6 concert.) Why can’t the 3D glasses from this year’s SUMMARY!? (laughs) I actually used to have lots of stuffed animals when I was little. Like chameleon I bought at Ueno Zoo or of monsters. I’d put all of those (stuffed animals) in a boat I made out of my blanket and pretended like I was a pirate. Who was the captain? Of course that was me ♪【2】I’ve had somewhat of anemia attack so I’ve been taking 2 supplement pills everyday to keep up my iron level. I also drink yogurt with a daily worth of iron in them so that means I’m taking two days worth of iron in a day. I think it’s showing results. Maybe (laughs).
【0.2】My eyesight. I don’t play games on TV or cell phone and I know I don’t study that hard (!?) but I still have bad eyesight. That’s why I usually wear my glasses at home and school. That Lasik eye surgery I hear lately is only for 20 years and older because of particular reason.
【5】Number of glasses I have. Since I have a habit of losing my glasses a lot, the number is never certain. I already lost one the other day so I went to get a new one yesterday.
【3】NYC is a 3 member group, JUMP members who goes to the same school and have same class is 3 people, I’m usually with 2 other people, and 2 siblings …. Maybe I have some fate with number of people that being “3” Would I want 3 kids in the future? Yeah, I guess so (laughs).
【4】Number of changes made with tightrope walking performance in this year’s SUMMARY (laughs). First it was just crossing two rope where Dai chan and I would walk diagonally. First change #1 was that, we would use just one rope. If we used 2 ropes, there would be less shake because the ropes would have a support in the middle. That’s why we took on the more challenging way. Change #2 is not having a mat under the rope when we used to have one during practice and the actual concert. Change #3 comes in when we only would have to walk the rope but we got used to just walking across and argument of “the people who comes (to our show) more than once would get bored of it” was brought up so we performed walking backwards from August. After that, we would walk straight forward to the middle, change direction, and walk backwards from there. Performing everything put together. That’s change #4 (laughs). We went through all that trouble to entertain you guys!
【7】 Number of drama I’ve been in. Hidarime Tantei EYE, Tantei Gakuen Q, Scrap Teacher, 1pound no Fukuin, Sensei wa Erai!, Furuhata Chugakusei, and Nini no koto wasurenaide futured in 24 hour TV. Those 7 pieces… right!? I didn’t miss out anything did I!? I’d be in trouble if I did (sweat). I like getting to know staffs or co-stars on the set since I’m with them for hours. The staffs are all older than me but they’re all working hard to make a great piece of work. I feel like I grow up because I’m surrounded by people like them.

【4】 My lucky number! My audition number was number four too. I'm where I am because I passed that audition. I think the number four has a big impact on my life. I don't remember well but I think I had number 4 when I was playing soccer too.
【164】This is my current height. But it was while ago when I had it measured. My actual updated data would be the one taken during health class at school in April but the result came gave false numbers so it’s invalid! Oh by the way, I’m not saying “invalid” because I didn’t grew an inch (laughs). There were others like “I didn’t grow 1mm but why does it say I grew 6cm!?” so it gave off measurements. The reliance level of the new data is pretty low. That’s why I think “height of 164cm” is correct even though it’s an old data. I don’t remember growing since then either …. My ideal height? Ideally about 170cm. But the only good reason of being tall is that you can reach places, looks cool and that’s about it for me. You might look more than great outside but I feel like having what you can compete inside is more than enough. (Staff adds in “then I guess it doesn’t matter if Dai chan got taller right?”) No way, I’d freak out! But there’s no way Dai chan will grow taller out of the blue ♪ (laughs)
【54.5】My current weight. I made a goal of losing 3kg before SUMMARY started so I tried dieting by not eating after 6 pm. When I checked, I lost 4.5 kg. Thanks to that, my body feels light now. But I want to lose 1.5 kg more to be 53kg. I just think that’s the best weight for me.
【28】My number at high school. There are only 19 people in my class but I’m number “28”, weird right? It’s a confusing system only at my school. The girl’s number starts off with 1 but even if it ended at 16, the guys numbering starts with 20. With my class, girls are 1 to 10 and guys are 20 to 28. We all line up in (Japanese) alphabetical order so “YAMADA” is the very last. By the way, Chinen is number 25 and Yuto kun is number 26.
【37】My number when I was in middle school (laughs). If you count by alphabetical order, I’m usually the last one. But this is actually a good thing. Teachers sometimes pick by “hmm, today’s the 12th so the person with student number 12 please answer” you know? But 37th day doesn’t exist so I’ve never been picked during class that way.
【10】 Of course 10 being JUMP! Even though the huge number of people in a group was a problem when we first started but how we can all get along with this number of people is something I can brag. I can never imagine us splitting into groups or fighting. I’m really glad for such a sense of security. But we still have problems too. Like today, look at this (points to empty sushi container on the table) Sushi gone that fast!? Duet was kind enough to have it delivered for us but they were gone an instant. When it comes to food, you’d never get to eat if you eat slowly. Like survival of the fittest (laughs).

【Big sister】My sister is 2 years older than me. She’s just 19 years old but I feel like she has matured all the sudden. The way she does her makeup is different. Is it because she started working? My sister work as a sales staff. I stop by sometimes and she would say “welcome” in this unusual really high tone. I just have to hold my stomach to laugh thinking how she would never talk like that. Then, when I get close to her and ask “where can I find ____?” she says “that’ll be… hey Ryosuke” (laughs). Now we can get along like that but we did have pretty aggressive fights in back in kindergarten. When my sister got hold of a plastic baseball bat, I thought she was a real monster. I remember that she gave me one stabbed in my face with the grip of the baseball bat and I lost. I could never forget that (laughs). She says “short” or “fatty” to me now and we don’t have real fights. But let’s not do that too okay? You’re an adult now. Also, you’re a big sister. Be more kind to me! There aren’t many cute little brothers like me you know! Got it!? 【Little sister】My little sister is a tough kid. I guess her personality is like moms and she’s a little boyish. She has bad mouth and she can say anything without holding back. But that’s not because she’s “bold”, I know that it’s from all the barriers and troubles she had to go through. I respect her in some ways even though she’s my little sister. That’s why things my big sister say might make me mad but it really hurts when my little sister says those things. But really… every word you say can be actually cruel sometimes (laughs). I’m your big brother so I take care of my little sister and I really do but don’t kill my “big brother spot light”. Please don’t do that (laughs). But, with all that cruelty, there’s so much kindness. I could never forget the time you wrote a message to me, worried about my health when I got really busy with work. Also, that reminds me. I have to add this about my little sister. My little sister is great at drawing. Her school left her in charge of making a pamphlet for the school’s field day or festival. I’m really amazed at her talent.

August Duet 2010 – yamadas Yamada Ryosuke
Following “JUMP Member series”, we bring you Family series this month! Yama chan will reveal everything about his parents!? Our regular, cosplay is pirate! We don’t mind our heart stolen from such a handsome pirate ♥
【Father】 How old is my father again? 43 or 44… well, something like that (laughs). I’m told I look like him a lot and I’m starting feel that way too. Especially the shape of our nose. (Looks sideways) It’s like a hawk nose, the way my nose has a bump there is exactly like his. Also, I’m told my eyes are similar too. Thanks to his old shut put or javelin throwing days, I got his muscular form and a round figure gene (embarrassed). I thought I would look just like him when he was younger but my dad looks mixed back then! (Staff adds “Yama chan is as handsome too”) Ehh, then that means I’m going to (end up like his father now) in the future? Not like that’s a bad thing. I don’t mind how I’m going to look as long as I have personality like his, funny and carefree. Kids my age rarely go out with their father but I do. Before, my dad would ask me if I wanted go play pool when he had time but since I don’t have any interest anymore, I just say “ah, no thanks” and decline (laughs). It’s also my dad who drops me off by the train station in his car when drama shoot starts early in the morning. He’s my dependable figure who understands and cheers on for me. I’m the only son so I think he’s waiting to have a “father and son” bond in the future. He doesn’t drink alcohol at home but when I turn 20, I bet we’ll be having one of those deep emotional talks. It’s a strange feeling when I think about it. But I’m looking forward to it. I also want to play golf with him someday. It can be a real competition since we’re both beginners (laughs).
【Mother】 I really don’t know my mom’s age. It’s not that she told me not to say it. She’s just a busy person, she herself might have lost count of her age. …Let’s not dig deeper into that (laughs). Others might picture my mom as pale and mellow person but that’s ridiculous! She’s like my solo song “Asia no Yoru” if I were to compare her to a song. Passionate. More confusing? (laughs). She’s a daughter of Yakiniku restaurant owner so her sense in cooking is awesome and looks a little like a thug (?). Her personality is pretty manly. When we had a barbeque with my father’s co-workers, they said she’s a “manly man!” She does everything fast, throws in all the ingredients without measuring when she’s cooking and she’ll say “you’re in the way!” like no problem. That’s why people call her “manly man” (laughs). But I feel relieved when I watch her. I like her personality. She’s a very loving mother and she puts family first instead of herself. I didn’t have school the other day so I watched my mom all day at home and I was surprised how much she does in one day. I was reminded how much I respect her again. Thank you mom. I’m too embarrassed to say this again but I’m really glad I’m your son! Please take care of your body.
December Duet 2010 – yamadas Yamada Ryosuke
This month’s Yama chan tries on Peter Pan cosplay! He looks great in it but he was actually pretty embarrassed… But it’s cute isn’t it!? What kind of cosplay would you want Yama chan to try on next?
【17】 I’m 17 right now ♪But actually, I had an fuzzy image of myself being tall and cool at age 17. Reality is harsh. I’m taking the exact same way as Daichan. (← Saddens by the fact. Not knowing what’s going on, Dai chan gives “?” from a far). But that’s fine. I’ll still keep living as me. I’m not sure personally, but I bet I’ve grown mentally mature by now that I’m 17. I know I had to grown someway. It’s just that… my image of 18 year olds are “all grown up adults” so I’m going to do much childish stuff as possible and enjoy my youth until my next birthday!
【2】I had my 2nd school festival since I entered high school. It was fun having the graduates, Hikaru kun and Dai chan visit. Even though Dai chan and Hikaru were in the other room as the current students, Chinen, Yuto kun, and I (laughs). But I could see classmates taking part in basketball competitions or dance competition from the window so I enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere of the school festival. My teacher even bought us mocha from the festival stalls. I got to look around and participate in dance competition last year so how I enjoyed it was different (this year) …. But I enjoyed the festival nonetheless. I hope I can take part in it next year.
【180】Number of telephone numbers on my cellphone. I thought I had about 50 numbers so I’m surprised by the fact that it has 3 times that (laughs). But I think it’s because there’s a lot of duplicates. When I get “I changed my number” or “I changed my address” from the people in my record, I keep adding those on so that’s why the number increased. Meaning, there’s more than one numbers under the same name. Then, I wouldn’t know which are the new number/address (laughs).
【26.5】 My shoe size. Isn’t it a normal size? Dai chan is only 23.5 or 24, isn’t he like a girl (size)!? ( Dai chan backfires “Get it measured by a professional. Everyone’s size are actually small than they think! I bet Yamada will only have 25 if he got it really measured) But it’s still 25 right? I’m still bigger than Dai chan~♪
【5】 Number of Korean learning books I have at the moment (laughs). Kusanagi Tsuyoshi kun’s ChonmaruBook 1 and 2, normal linguistic book, and two audio learning. Total of 5 items. “Chonmaru Book” is really easy to understand. I learn basic vocabulary with this and the linguistic book and pronunciation by the audio learning material. That’s how I study and I think I’m getting better at it. I can say a simple introduction of myself now. I can say my name… and “I’m very short” in Korean. … eh, they don’t have to be told, they can see it? That’s none of your business!! (laughs).

Yamada: We did, we did! Although it was a thin wall, a very thin one. What was that about anyway? We’ve been like this ever since we started revealing each other’s secrets.
Arioka: Yup. We both told each other everything. I don’t have anything I don’t know about Yamada, really.

Arioka: But you still talked to me in formal manners when we first met, remember?

Arioka: We had a period where we had a tense relationship for a while after that but harmony gradually came back. As soon as we became JUMP, the wall collapsed.
Yamada: I don’t know the reason why we got along so much that I started opening up everything to him though. It just happened, right?
Arioka: In the end, it just means that I wasn’t much of a semapi.
Yamada: It doesn’t mean that but you’re definitely different to Hikaru kun and Yabu kun. I still feel “semapi” to Hikaru kun and Yabu kun
Arioka: Me too. I still feel “I might get in trouble if I mess up” from those two (laughs) It’s an exceptional thing after all
Yamada: Right? I can teasingly say “bu chan, bu chan” to Takaki kun though.

Yamada: Also, you know how you look at me when I’m reading manga? And you don’t stop even if I say “what do you want~” its fun when you act that way when there’re other people in their own gaming world or listening to music. To tell the truth, stop being pushy! You sometimes decide “I’m going to do this with this person today!” or “I’m going here” on your own, right? Then, when I decline you say “eh~~, come on, come on!” and get fussy. In the end, you even wink at me saying “please♪”! Please stop that (laughs)
Arioka: In that case, stop hiding my underwear when I’m taking a bath

Arioka: During concerts, you’d open the door to splash me with cold water when I’m taking a bath. I really don’t like cold water!
Yamada: That’s because you’re reaction is just too funny. Even if our ages are different, it’s fun for me that we can play around in the same level
Arioka: Because we’re around the same height, our actual eye level is the same too.

Winkup June 2009 – HSJ Tricksters Yabu Kota x Yaotome Hikaru x Arioka Daiki x Okamoto Keito x Yamada Ryosuke
Interview was taken in the midst of country wide tour for JUMP.

Yabu: Oh, aren’t our positions today like how it is during MC in concerts?
Yamada: You’re right. Yabu kun and Hikaru kun stands at both ends putting everyone else in between… kind of style, right?
Yabu: Yup, like a hamburger. Hikaru is the harder bun and I’m the softer bun.
Arioka: I didn’t know there were different kinds of buns picked (laughs).
Okamoto: I can’t talk well in this position. Hey Dai chan, can we switch seats?
Yamada: Keito has his own pickiness for his talks (laughs).
Okamoto: It’s easy for me to talk when I have about the same number of people on the both side.
Yabu: (Whispering) Keito is the mustard.
Yaotome: You don’t have to use hamburger as the metaphor every time (laughs).
Yabu: My standing position during MC has Takaki standing next to me most of the time but he’s always one step behind of everyone else. He probably thinks either me or Hikaru will talk to him if our eyes meet and that’s why he’s always in the back hiding (laughs)
Yaotome: I usually pass around the talk like crazy not worrying about those things though (laughs). That reminds me, I don’t usually have interview with Yamada that often.
Yamada: I’m thinking of going 3 times more mature than usual today.
Arioka: What kind of announcement was that? (laughs) I know, it’s because you’re going into high school in April.
Yamada: Exactly
Yaotome: (Looking at his uniform) Oh, Yamada wears his school shirt with first two unbuttoned. Hmm, that’s a little dangerous (laughs).
Yamada: Eh, really? You’re a bad kid if you have the first two unbuttoned? …. (buttons them)
Yaotome: Good! Yamada really is a carefree kid. Even during the MC, he create his own character all the sudden and announce that to the world. When he becomes that character, he’d start talking. Um…. How exactly are you guys going to say something about this, just watch his skills…. Is it (laughs)?
Yamada: In the end, I end up making a fool of myself.
Yaotome: But Yama chan, you always look satisfied with it so I think that’s a good thing (laughs). But I wonder…. I wonder if that’ll continue on in the future. I want to ask just in case we have to prepare ourselves (laughs).
Yamada: It’s fine. You can’t be scared of failing at getting a laugh or two! Someone once said, your heart will grow stronger with repeated failed attempts.
Yaotome: That was me (laughs). Yeah, I’m not scared of it either. Lately, I’ve been picking up myself after a bad joke… that’s an advanced technique I learned (laughs). Behind that thick wall, there was a skill called “2 act by one” (laughs).With this rate, I bet I could make a “failed attempts collection” (laughs)
Arioka: Is that included in the DVD special (laughs)?
Yabu: Ah, then we can make “Yabu’s failed attempts collection” too. Shall we put both together (laughs)?
Arioka: Yabu kun usually fails when he starts talking with his usual maniac talk.
Yaotome: So “Yabu’s maniac fails collection” is the right way to say it (laughs)
Yabu: That’s good! It’s like Stojković!
Arioka: Tha, thank you…
Yaotome: He just explained it in soccer player terms. This is why the audience and the rest of us feel left behind because you keep throwing in things like that.
Arioka: It’s okay, that was on the light side. It’s was in the level where I could reply “thank you” (laughs)
Yabu: Honestly, I wanted to say “Kamo Shu” or other mania with soccer players…
Everyone: ….
Arioka: Excuse me but who’s that?
Yabu: Manger who retired before World Cup…
Arioka: Manger! I don’t know that! Readers, this is what we mean (laughs).
Yabu: ~JUMP’s bad side is that if someone fails during MC, they leave it like that!
Yamada: You’re right, no one picks up after that (laughs).
Yaotome: Exactly! Even in the dressing room! You guys make a mess and don’t clean it up (laughs)!
Yabu: The only member who cleans up after is Yuto and… Keito too. Different from Keito who cleans up without saying a word, I think Yuto wants everyone else know because he says “gosh, there’s so much trash you guys!” and cleans up after us (laughs)
Arioka: Ah, I know! He’s like a mother figure (laughs)
Yabu: Yuto is Miyamoto and Keito is Inamoto type
Okamoto: Ah, I know Inamoto!
Yamada: Then, maybe Keito should try cleaning up after in the MC next.
Yaotome: Yeah, Keito and I spend time with each other a lot so you can look after me.
Okamoto: That’s not it. When it’s just the two of us, he doesn’t make jokes at all unlike how it is right now. That’s why there’s no need for me to do that.
Yaotome: Ah, you’re right. We do have normal talks.
Okamoto: Therefore, there are no failed attempts or jokes.
Yaotome: It’s a typical conversation like “It’s warm today” “yeah, it is” (laughs). I see… I guess I should start saying jokes when it’s the two of us from now on.
You were actually nervous thinking “I’m talking to Hikaru kun right now~” (laughs)
Yabu: When there are 10 members, it’s hard to have a long talk with just the two. I had an outside filming with Hikaru for a show the other day and we talked for 2 hours in the bus on the way back. I spent my 2 hours thinking “oh, I haven’t talked to Hikaru like this for a while now…”
Yaotome: Eh, you were? I didn’t think too deeply that I just talked to you like any other time (laughs). You were actually nervous thinking “I’m talking to HIkaru kun right now~” (laughs).
Yabu: I was (laughs)
Yamada: What kind of talk is this? (laughs)
Yabu: I just talked about how Dai chan is a good assistant but to me, Inoo chan is pretty high leveled and Yamada has potential too.
Yamada: Really? I have no confidence at all…
Yabu: You say things like “I didn’t do well today” after the MC but I think you have good sense in talks.
Yaotome: Don’t be disappointed with your “bad jokes” until you experience my level of bad jokes (laughs)
Yabu: Exactly. That’s why I can watch Dai chan and Yamada at ease when you guys start talking. Yeah, you guys are like Inamoto…
Arioka: Soccer player again!
Okamoto: But you said I was Inamoto (laughs)!
Yaotome: Has the Miracle child・Ryutaro perform any miracles lately on MC?
Yabu: I can’t predict what kind of topic he’ll start talking about (laughs)
Arioka: People were excited about WBC at the moment in Nagoya stage so remember how he was really wounded up talking about that topic
Yamada: We talked about just that for 10 minutes.

Yabu: I really want to see Chinen pass around (talks) as an MC. When I went to see ~ 7 concert, I ended up appearing on MC and passing the talks. I really did say “I’m not going up (on the stage)” but they insisted…. And I got up on the stage.
Yaotome: Yeah, it was like that when Dai chan and I went too. That’s why I haven’t seen just ~7’s MC.
Arioka: Right? But we’re all getting more used to MC now lately compared to how we were all quiet right after debut even with 10 members.
Yabu: Personally, I’m still worried. I can feel my heart beat when MC nears like “ah~, it’s MC time soon”
Yaotome: Eh, really? I’m totally fine. Instead, I’m more “I wonder how long it is until MC” and look forward to it. Before, I was worried about not having a topic but lately I’m starting to think “I could just make up a topic at the spot”
Okamoto: Oh~ that’s reassuring!
Yabu: I guess that’s right. I’m starting to understand how we could go into a good direction if we have one big theme and let ourselves just flow.
Arioka: Exactly. If we decide “let’s talk about this or let’s talk that” first, we end up having this awkward mood because the talk can start and end abruptly
Yaotome: Hey, we’ve only talked about MC for the concert this month (laughs). We haven’t talked about dancing, makings, or music at all (laughs).
Yamada: But isn’t it a good thing that we care about MC? I want people who came to the concert feel “I had fun today” and you want them to think “~JUMP’s talks are pretty funny” too. I love comedy and I think we have to do more than look cool!
Arioka: It’s really true. You can see the member’s true self in MC and we don’t get those chances that often.
Okamoto: When we’re taking this interview, we still have Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Sendai left for ~JUMP concerts. I’m really looking forward to all of those new places we’ve never been to as JUMP.
Yaotome: It’s really fun to travel around the country. I felt that the each venue have different mood depending on different places. In Fukuoka, they had a ~JUMP call 20 minutes before live. I was really happy about that.

He hates insects! There was a winged ant on his chest when we were changing just then so I casually said “Dai chan, a bug” and he screamed “uwa~, where where!?” and tugged on his clothes (laughs). He said “I thought it was a big bug” but you freaked out too much! (laughs)

Quite childish. His talks are mature but he plays around with things near him or tears papers up into little pieces during interviews. He just doesn’t stay still (laughs). Probably like someone who twists around phone cord around their arm while talking on the phone or draw unexplained doodles on memos (laughs).

Myojo 0310 : Yamada Ryosuke and Takaki Yuya

Like the drama I’m being put in, “Hidarime Tantei EYE” I’m always playing the detective in mystery dramas. Being a detective is really hard, you know!? We have to see murder crime scenes, catch suspects, and until we find evidence, we have to continue working. I think you’ll need a lot of energy to be a detective. Also, there’s always that pattern when you think you caught the suspect! But in fact, there was another suspect… In the dramas that I was in, I was put in situations like that most of the time, probably because they were dramas. Anyways, it’s impossible for me to become a real detective! When I was a kid, I played this game with my little sister, where she would hide a ball and I would have to find it… and I tried looking for it, but I couldn’t. On top of that, I’m that type of person who gives up if they can’t do something. Yeah, I’m not meant to be a detective (laughs).
If I were to become a detective, I’ll research Ryutaro! He apparently lives in an amazing house, and when I speak to him about it, he says, “We have a pool,” or “We’re going to keep a doctor fish as a pet.” Doctor fish…? But having a pool in a backyard in Japan is amazing. You have to have lots of land= lots of $$$. So I want to see what kind of house he lives in. Maybe I can play soccer inside his house? Well, for me I get very calm in large open spaces ♪

When I was a kid, I didn’t really read books so I was never… admiring the detectives (laughs). But recently I’ve been into detective mangas amazingly. So this is really on time ♪ If I were to become a detective, I want to stick by my parents and find out more about them. Since both of them are fairly young, I see them as friends. Including my older sister, we talk about all sorts of things as family. They sometimes talk about how they met, and during those talks we (Takaki&sister) listen intently. But in those talks, there’s some parts where you would say “That’s definitely a lie~” so I want to see if those stories that they tell us are actually true (laughs).
After I research about them, I would secretly stalk my friends and I want to see what they’re like when they’re not around me, what kind of lives they lead. In honesty, I don’t have a lot of friends. But I’m not lonely. I’m very close with few people. When I get to know a person really well, I know them inside out and all our feelings are honest. Even if I see something absurd with them, we’ll be fine probably (laughs). But even though I spoke about this like that, I can’t be a detective. Because it’s impossible for me to stalk somebody. I think it’s the best that you admire the detectives while you’re at your own home and reading your own detective manga (laughs).

Q01. At what instance does a girl make your heart beat fast?
When someone calls out "Hey," and the moment she turns around to face the person with a "Hm?" facial expression ♥ It's the moment when she says "Hm?" casually ♥ I discovered this at school!
Q02. What behaviour makes you disillusioned by a girl?
Bad mouthing. A girl who bad mouths is not good!
Q03. What would it be like if you were in love?
I think I will become an idiot.
And I might be the type who is committed.
I think my girlfriend would be the type that does things with great care! But when I'm in love, I want to be able to finish working properly as well. When I'm done with work, I might send her ... mail? I still don't know (laughs).
Q04. What type of girl do you like?
A girl who is honest and pure ♥
Q05. Under what circumstances would love be unable to work out?
A man is a man! Right now, isn't there such a thing? If a girl is boy-like and on the contrary, is with a boy who is delicate, he has the character of a girl, and it looks like the girl would be the one to pull on the boy. I want to be the one to pull on the girl and protect her properly!
Q06. What would Yamada-K question about love?
I wonder what makes a person happy. Love does! is what I think people will think, but I think that is wrong. Because I think happiness makes a person fall in love! I do think that I could be completely mistaken, so I think I want to grasp a proper understanding of this. It's no good to be wrong! I think happiness will make a person fall in love, and the result is absolutely good and inevitable!
Q07. Upon your first meeting with a girl, what do you first notice?
The atmosphere! It would feel tingly inside, and I like a girl who has a tender atmosphere ♥ If I were to sense the atmosphere, I could somehow understand that person's character. Lately, I have been using that one ability. I don't know such things as when I started to use it, but it's like "Ah! I somehow get it!" (laughs).
Q08. What is your fetish?
I have a fetish for legs, probably (laughs). But I also don't like such things like a mini-skirt. When I see it for myself I have a bad feeling. I like seeing the beautiful silhouette of legs when they're in a pair of jeans.

Sleep! I don't want to sleep because I'm tired, I want to sleep because I want to grow! It seems like sleeping stretches your height (laughs). I think I go to bed and sleep for 12 hours.
Q10. When you go out, what disguise do you do?
I don't use a disguise. With my own voice, I want to say "Thank you," to others. The only exception is when I am going to school, and basically I wear a fluffy wig covered by a hat in order to be deceiving (laughs). So there ARE crazy-stalker fangirls at the front of Horikoshi Gakuen after all /sigh

Maybe short-tempered (laughs). When I'm angry, I'm angry ... but how is that so? Ye~ah. I don't really understand this myself (laughs).

Q13. What's the screen-saver for your mobile phone?
It's of the toy poodle "Ku!" that we raise at home. And we also raise a Chihuahua. I love dogs! is what I like to say because they're my favourite type of animal.
Q14. Where do you often go?
I like wandering and strolling along near the surroundings of my house. A slow walk to calm down.
Q15. If you were to become invisible, what would you do?
I want to make everyone believe in the existence of monsters! The thing I would pretend to be would be a poltergeist (a kind of spirit) and I'll sometimes wake people up (laughs). I want to keep doing that sort of thing along with other lots of playful acts! (laughs).
Q16. What do you first do early in the morning?
I wriggle. For 2 or 3 seconds, "Uwa!" I wriggle, and then "Alright!" I enter my fighting spirit and wake up! That sort of ability to wake up isn't a bad thing.
Q17. What feelings do you have towards plain clothes?
Lately there are a lot combination of cargo pants and a jacket. I don't often go to buy Western clothes~
Q18. What part of yourself do you like most?
My chubby cheeks! I discovered this recently! While in class, for some reason or another, someone pulled on my cheeks and said "What the? It's super squishy!" and that surprised me (laughs). It's really chubby! it seems (laughs).
Q19. If you were able to trade places with someone for one day, who would that be?
Perhaps a smart person (laughs).
Q20. Right now, what do you want most?
A warm knitted outerwear! Behind me there is a huge logo that's in the colour brown. I saw this in the magazine and thought "Wow! This is cute!", and I went to that shop but they had already run out ... I'm waiting (for it to re-stock), but by no means will the arrival of new goods be any time soon ...
Q21. What has changed since you became a high school student?
I made more friends!! That's why it's super fun. At the beginning there was a feeling of distance (between me and my classmates), but when I responded to a question with a strange answer, it seemed like they thought "Ah, isn't Yamada interesting!", and so I want to hold onto that sense of closeness (laughs). From then on the number of friends I have is gradually increasing. At work I'm Yamada from Hey!Say!JUMP, but at school I'm 1st Year High School Student Yamada Ryosuke. With everyone, I don't want to completely change but it will be totally and intensely fun! it seems so (laughs).
Q22. What do you think you'll do 10 years from now?
No matter what, I think I'll eventually grow into adulthood. But even now I think my thoughts completely differ. As a person I think it'd be nice to become an adult. In regards to this world (the world of show business), right now, there are lots of different types of work, and after this the original intention might be forgotten, but I think I want to remain as myself as I am now.
Q23. When do you think a moment has become extravagant? When I eat delicious food! It's okay even if the food is not particularly expensive. My mum's cooking is delicious. The appearance isn't plain and the flavour is mouth-watering! Since there are many members in my family, as expected, cooking would seem troublesome, but you don't have to worry about the types of dishes or about making the plates clean. That's because without forgetting about proper love, the food turns out to be delicious! After all, I think when I come home from work with the rice already prepared, it is luxury.
Q24. Hereafter, what is your ambition?
When I'm 20 years-old I am determined to live alone. I think I want to become properly independent.
Q25. If you were born again, what would you want to be?
H~m ... a free person! Since time is limited, there are some things we can and can't do, but I want to become a person who is bound by nothing.

I don't have (fashion) sense! LIES~!! I truly don't understand it! I have a what is "fashion?" feeling.

Wallet, mobile phone and eye drops. Ah, and glasses! My eyesight is really, really bad.

A white and light brown calm feeling. I don't have many things. But when you open the door and look in, you can see the place where I keep my shelf of manga. All the manga (laughs). Right now, I have a lot of interesting manga! Like 『GANTZ』.

When I'm laughing, and my friends are laughing, it makes me happy. At school and at work too. That moment makes me the happiest.

More Scrap Teacher Pictures
The picture on our left is of Chinen and Yamada. Chinen looks really good here and it’s a nice example of Chinen looking a little more mature as opposed to just being cute. His hair looks great here and his smile…that makes you just wanna eat him up. What is he doing with his fingers? (hahaha). Yama-Yama’s face….OMG I love it!! It’s like he’s about to say something very profound but before he could say anything, the picture was taken. It’s actually really funny and it really does look like he was about to say something when they took the picture and just went ahead and decided to make that the picture to put in the magazine. And yes, I have to mention his hair because it looks so amazing here! You can’t see if because his other hand is in the other picture but it’s balled into a first like “we can do it!” It actually looks good when the two pictures are put together, trust me (lol). Looking at this picture, I noticed that Yama-Yama is wearing the same school uniform as everyone else but in Sensei wa Erai! he attended a different school than the other three boys and thus had a different uniform. So what does this mean? Is he gonna be joining the same school as the other boys because I would absolutely love that!! Maybe it’s just because they wanted everyone to look the same? I don’t really know but I’m hoping that they all go to the same school so that I can see more Yama-Yama!!!Moving onto the next picture of the other two boys: Nakajima and Daiki. Nakajima has this happy go lucky 
face on that just makes you just wanna be close to him. I absolutely love his smile here because it just looks so infectious. His school uniform looks really nice on him so that’s definitely a plus. Moving onto Daiki, is he never not adorable? Just look at the smile at tell me that you don’t want to give him a hug. I also like that he has the balled fist just like Yamada but it’s more in a cutie way so it’s like “we can do it everybody! let’s go together!” His hair looks really nice here just like everyone else so that’s another plus for him. Let’s move onto the little picture of all four between Daiki and Nakajima. Interestingly enough, the boys are standing next to the same person as they are on each of the two pages. Nakajima and Daiki both are giving that balled fist of “we can do it” attitude. My computer was being stupid so I couldn’t get a picture from the same magazine as the other three so we’ll have to settle for the picture at our right (which is not bad but I’d rather have it from the same magazine so it could be all unified). I really like this picture because Yamada is looking very edgy and cool here. One good thing about Yamada’s style is that it can go so many ways from cute to cool to sexy to whatever. And he really pulls the cool card well here. His hair looks wonderful and the whole black theme just really works well on him. There is a good contrast with the white shirt and I like the watch (I think it’s a watch at least) since everything pulls together to make a very cohesive picture. Even his pose screams cool, just leaning against the wall like that and there’s something behind his eyes that just grabs the viewer in. Those dark eyes really are powerful, which make this picture all the better. Anyway, YamaYama looks fantastic here, which makes this one hell of a picture!!! Even though I wish I had the picture that I wanted, this picture is still really good too and you can all rest your eyes on this hotness.
Next up is the always absolutely adorable Daiki!! I’ve also to come to love Daiki thanks to his drama roles. Plus he can sing (yeah he got a solo line on Mayonaka no Shadow Boy that sounds great). Now maybe it’s just me but Daiki looks kinda different here. Something about his face just looks different but once again, I’m betting that’s the fault of the angle of the picture (yeesh, the photographer needs to get on his game). Nonetheless, this picture still shows that Daiki cute charm that makes him so loveable. And much like Yuto, his face conveys true cuteness while his clothes are very cool and stylish. Even though I can’t see the shirt in full, it looks really nice and part of it even looks shiny!! Shiny shiny!!! OMG, is that fur on the hood????!!!! In case you didn’t know, I absolutely love fur and I think Daiki would look really cute with a fur hood (maybe he does and it’s just that we can’t see from this picture). I’ve always loved Daiki’s hair and my love is no different here because it looks great and the outfit really compliments it. Oh well, Daiki maintains his amazingly adorable edge while taking on some very cool and stylish clothes, which makes this one enjoyable picture. Okay, let’s compare to the next picture of Chinen, shall we?
I’ve been in Yuto mode lately so let’s start off with him! In this picture, we have a sort of combination of kawaii Yuto and kakkoi Yuto. First, look at his face and we have totally kawaii Yuto!! He’s smiling like he’s holding back from laughing or something (which in itself is too cute for words. We wanna see you laugh Yuto!!!). And his hair looks absolutely fantastic here, like seriously, it’s amazing (lol). The way he’s dressed on the other hand looks totally cool, particularly because of all the black. But it’s not only that. The style of his clothes look particularly flattering and very stylish. I want those clothes so badly!!! Even though I can’t see the shirt, it looks like it’s purple (lavender at least) and I love purple so Yuto and I must be in sync!!! Is that an overcoat he’s wearing? Cause it’s a very stylish one (I know I already said that but I didn’t know it was an overcoat until I looked harder at it lol). And lol at the pose, which brings us back to kawaii Yuto. It’s like he’s begging us or something but in a really cute way. Thanks to Scrap Teacher, I friggin love Yuto (still waiting for more episodes to be uploaded with English subs onto youtube) so I’m glad he’s getting such attention because he definitely deserves it!! Yay Yuto!!!
Okay, around Scrap Teacher pictures started coming out, I really didn’t care for Chinen’s hair but since watching the show, it’s grown on me a lot and I can now say that I don’t mind it all. In fact, I like it. Well Chinen’s picture is kinda like Daiki’s. I mean they both have their hands so that their palms face the camera…okay I guess that’s the only real similarity but that’s good enough for me. I really like this picture of Chii because he looks adorable here, which is something he’s very good at doing. And lately, he’s been taking on a more mature and cool look so it’s always nice to see him looking cute. I can’t put my finger on why but his skin looks glowing here, like it looks really good (lol). And his hair looks wonderful here, really going with his whole look. Plus his clothes look really cute but still have a young feeling to them if you know what I mean. I believe his shirt says “Marvelous Emotion” and he certainly does look marvelous so I suppose it’s fitting. I also think the light blue background makes Chinen pop out even more! Overall, magnificent picture and I’m sorry to say it Daiki but Chinen wins this battle. It was very close though and both should be proud. I just think the angle of Chinen’s picture works a lot better for the overall concept.
